Dear Friends of the Symphony Orchestra of India,

The Symphony Orchestra of India was born in 2006 as an initiative by the NCPA to start India’s first fully professional symphony orchestra. In this short period of time, SOI has already become a national movement on the strength of the wonderful response and encouragement it has received from friends and supporters like you. Consistent with our commitment to support and encourage arts and culture in India, Citi India is delighted to be the Patron sponsor and founding partner of this wonderful institution.

SOI has commenced by showcasing the world’s best music to Indian audiences through two seasons of concerts every year. At the same time, it places great emphasis on developing musical talent within India itself. This goal of bringing global best practices to India is consistent with Cit's own objectives and is becoming increasingly relevant in a globalised world.
