SOI Autumn 2014 Season Announced

The Autumn 2014 season of the Symphony Orchestra of India features what are sure to be memorable performances by some of the world’s leading musicians. The SOI’s 17th season will feature the first performances in India by the great pianist Maria João Pires along with Augustin Dumay as violinist and conductor, in an all-Mozart programme. SOI Resident Conductor Zane Dalal will lead an all-Beethoven programme in memory of Jamshed Bhabha featuring pianist Asaf Zohar playing the every-popular ‘Emperor’ concerto. Young British conductor Duncan Ward will lead two programmes, featuring Alina Ibragimova playing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, one of the most famous works in the genre, and Cédric Tiberghien playing Beethoven’s third piano concerto, alongside works by Britten, Debussy, Bartók, and Sibelius.

Box office opens on 23rd July for Friends of the SOI, 26th July for NCPA Members and 29th July for the Public
